Meet Sabrina, the owner of Rebel’s Shuffle Academy!

Sabrina is a Cancer sun, Scorpio Moon and Sagittarius rising.

She is a Manifestor in Human Design, which has led her to evolving the Academy over the years as a reflection of one of her greatest passions in life - to serve and lead others.

Sabrina started shuffling back in 2014, after a lifelong journey as a professional dancer. She began ballet at the age of 4, and since then it was an endless love affair. Her dance background extends to multiple styles including Ballet, Contemporary, Modern, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, and Hip Hop to name a few. She has received her Royal Academy of Dance certifications to the Advanced Level in Ballet, and participated in dance competitions for 10 years. She also attended Etobicoke School of the Arts as a Dance Major in high school and went on to participate in the dance company at University of Toronto called Silhouettes.

Being a lifelong participant in the dance realm, after graduating from University she realized there wasn’t many avenues to pursue dance as an adult. And that’s when she became fascinated with the newly trending style of dance - shuffling. Being a “Raver” since the age of 17, she attended multiple music festivals and events where she started to notice shufflers grooving around to electronic music. After obsessively watching the dance on Instagram where it was starting to become viral, she made it her goal to learn. Ever since she has been completely obsessed with mastering the dance, and has made it her goal to share her knowledge with future generations. As an OG in the dance, her commitment to growth and continuing her research keeps her fueled.

Sabrina also has a background in Project Management but quit her career path to pursue teaching full time. Her belief is that creating a fulfilled life means doing things differently, which is why she also goes by her nickname “Rebel”. You can find her weekly in the studio, doing what she loves best and sharing her light with her students.
